About us
Phänomena is the largest mobile world of experiences in Switzerland. A place where the laws of nature, phenomena and complex interrelationships become tangible in an impressive way. We bring science directly to the people – interactive, accessible and inspiring. In doing so, we create experiences that get under your skin and change the way you see the world. Phänomena is aimed at people of all ages and creates spaces where society and research meet on the topics of climate, energy, biodiversity, AI & robotics, mobility, space as well as physics & chemistry.
We implement the educational initiative through two formats: With Phänomena On Tour, our world of experiences stops for four to eight weeks in Swiss cities such as Basel, Dietikon, Zurich, Lucerne, Biel and possibly also Chur. Every year, a completely new world of experiences is created with a new theme, interactive hands-on stations, digital experiences and modern design. Here, visitors can experience science up close, develop future skills and delve deeper through local collaborations and educational offerings.
Phänomena Spot is our digital, interactive knowledge platform that makes natural phenomena and technological innovations tangible at real locations all over Switzerland. On the platform you can find in-depth content on all exhibits that invites you to discover, understand and think further, regardless of where you are.

Mission & Values
Phänomena On Tour and Spot inspire people of all ages to discover how the world works and how we can shape its future. Our mission is to spark curiosity, enable active participation, and connect citizens with the major social and scientific questions of our time.
Our values guide every exhibition: science should be understandable for everyone, innovations should inspire, design should excite and participation should be possible, regardless of age or prior knowledge. These values make Phänomena on Tour a sustainable, flexible concept, close to the population and firmly rooted in the vision of Switzerland as a country of education.
